Proofreading, Editing & Beta Services

The written language has rules! Failure to follow them makes you look like an amateur, let alone careless. A professional proofreading and/or edit of your manuscript one the last steps before publication, and an opportunity to make your words shine their brightest.

Editors & Proofreaders

I've personally worked with the following editors and highly recommend their professional services:

Paige Prince

Paige Prince has been writing since she was seven years old, daydreaming of being Joe McIntyre's girlfriend. Since then, she's learned there are far more interesting things to do than just hold hands. She's been beta reading since 2009, and editing since 2012. She's been one of the senior editors at Torquere Press for two years as well as taking on private clients.

Paige accepts any manuscript within the romance genre to include all of its subgenres. Pricing can be found on her website: http://authorpaigeprince.com/editing-services/

Deelylah Mullin

Deelylah loves editing—pretty much anything. She'll edit anything with the exception of stories based on cancer (The Fault in Our Stars is NOT a book she could edit—She hasn’t even read it yet, and the damn movie made her tap out about thirty minutes in). She's currently both a freelance editor as well as a senior editor for Torquere Press and Prizm Books. You can find her rates on her website here: http://vampbard.com/editing-services.html. She loves to discuss the publishing process with both new and established authors, and her commentary is both constructive and critical.

MR Wallace

This talented man offers line editing and proofreading services (combined) for $.003 per word, coming out to $3 per 1000 words.

He's also started writing blurbs for the backs of books and for Amazon descriptions. A lot of authors hate writing these, and he's good at it! Try him out. Blurbs are currently $10.

Beta Work

As an author, I understand how important it is to make sure characters, ideas, and overall plot work. Having another eye to look at your words is never a bad idea. If you're in the market for a beta reader, I'm happy to discuss working with you. FYI: I'm blunt, honest, and will make your manuscript bleed, which is the same respect I would expect from those who beta my work. I never charge for helping other authors, although I'm into "backscratching" (trading work). FYI I also proofread.
